I, Blake Carter, strongly condemn the misallocation of ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) funds for projects that are not intended for COVID relief. The ARPA was enacted with the primary purpose of providing critical financial assistance to individuals, businesses, and communities impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. It is crucial that these funds are utilized responsibly and transparently to address the immediate and long-term effects of the ongoing health and economic crisis.

I firmly believe that diverting ARPA funds to projects unrelated to COVID relief undermines the intent of the legislation and fails to address the urgent needs of our communities. The pandemic has caused immense suffering, job losses, and financial hardships for countless people across the nation. As we strive to recover from this crisis, it is essential to prioritize funding for measures that directly support public health, vaccination efforts, economic recovery, and aid to vulnerable populations.

We call upon all responsible authorities and organizations involved in distributing ARPA funds to exercise diligence and ensure that the funds are utilized exclusively for their intended purpose. Transparent and accountable management of these funds is vital to building trust with the public and to fostering an equitable recovery for all.

Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon spent federal stimulus money on a video that sounds a lot like a campaign ad.

This video was produced by the same marketing firm that produced McMahon’s television ads for the last election. The Mooney Marketing Group won the government job with no competition. This also cost Onondaga County taxpayers $5,950, county records show. Money that should have been put to work directly on projects that would help our community!

We encourage all citizens to remain vigilant and actively engage in monitoring the allocation and usage of ARPA funds in their respective communities. By holding those responsible to account, we can help ensure that these funds genuinely serve the purpose of providing relief to those most in need during this challenging time.

Together, let us stand united against any misuse of ARPA funds and work towards a resilient, inclusive, and equitable recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.

ARPA funds were and ARE intended to help communities recover from the COVID-19 pandemic by supporting public health, economic, and infrastructure needs.

If you are tired of your hard-earned money being used for pet projects, a vote for Blake Carter will help hold people like McMahon accountable. Please donate and support my campaign today! Blake Carter — Donate via ActBlue
