Blake Carter, a devoted community advocate, possesses a strong dedication to public service. Blake's roots trace back to western Onondaga County, where  he has resided for more than three decades, his cherished home that he shares with his wife and two children.

Following graduating from Jordan-Elbridge High School in 2004, Blake embarked on his professional journey by joining the labor force. For over a decade he dedicated his efforts to Lowe's Home Improvement in Camillus. However, driven by a profound desire to create a meaningful impact on society, Blake decided to pursue higher education.

 

In 2016, Blake made the decision to resume his education and successfully earned an A.A. in Business Administration from Onondaga Community College in 2017. Equipped with this educational milestone, Blake continued to expand his knowledge by pursuing a B.A. in Economics from Syracuse University in 2020. Blake specifically concentrated on examining anti-poverty policies and developing a comprehensive understanding of critical issues to actively contribute to finding viable solutions.

 

While in school, Blake embarked on a meaningful journey by joining the team of New York State Assemblywoman Pamela Hunter. Throughout four impactful years, Blake actively collaborated with constituents, government agencies, and stakeholders to address various issues. This invaluable experience profoundly influenced Blake's unwavering dedication to public service and served as a force, propelling him to seek fresh opportunities to create positive change in the community.

In 2021, Blake transitioned from the Assembly and enthusiastically engaged in supporting multiple Democratic Party campaigns, aiming to empower and re-elect both current and future leaders. Guided by his passion for public service and an unyielding commitment to effecting  meaningful transformations, Blake has entered his pursuit for his own candidacy for office.

Blake embodies the role of a devoted family man, with his wife, Brittney, a school teacher in the Syracuse City School District. Together, they have two wonderful children named Ryleigh and Ronan. They also share their home with their fur family, two beloved dogs, Karma and Bradi. Blake's family is a powerful catalyst, inspiring him to channel his dedication towards making the world a better place for future generations. Alongside his family commitments, Blake also dedicates time to managing his business LionOx Master Company, which actively engages in investment ventures and supports a range of projects and businesses. 

 

With a deep understanding of the challenges facing our community, coupled with a strong academic background and experience working in government, Blake is uniquely positioned to make a positive impact as a political leader. Blake is committed to fighting for progressive policies that lift up working families, reduce poverty, and create a better future for all.
